Here's the Good News: Gen Z Is Rock Solid
"There is nothing so pitiful as a young cynic because he has gone from knowing nothing to believing nothing." -Maya Angelou
There is hope. A new generation is emerging in America and these young people are impressive.
While 2020 has had its share of challenges, for me, the emergence of a handful of young people in my professional life has made a major impact and huge difference.
Intelligence, focus, and humility don’t often come early in one’s career, but I keep seeing it in people under 25 years old—and I dig it.
In related news, Gen Z also has its own language. Let’s tune in and learn some new terms.
Wig Snatched: An impressive or unimpressive appearance or act
Yahurrd?: Are you aware?
Finesse: To steal
Hop Off: Mind your own business
Run That: To start or to take
Smacks: A tasty treat
Stay up: You will be okay
Take the L: Make a sacrifice
Now, let’s use the new terms in new sentences: Are you going to run that or just stand there?
Get some smacks and take the L.
Stay up, friend.
